Technology is advancing at an astounding rate. The human race will probably never cease in our quest for new inventions to make life easier. One invention that is not only promising but good for the Earth is the hydrogen fuel cell car. Gasoline prices are on the rise and as we use up gasoline in our cars the Earth is being drained of it’s natural resources. Polar bears are losing their homes and lives because of the oil drilling in Alaska. Not only that, but wars are on going because of the fight for control of oil. It’s a fact that our planet is warming and the glaciers are melting. The oceans are warming up effecting whales among other animals. For so long humans have been carelessly burning gasoline in our cars with no thought to the consequences. Luckily for us and the Earth hydrogen fuel cell cars were created. Not only are cars being ran off of hydrogen fuel, boats and small flying air crafts are being powered as well.

You may be asking how hydrogen is better than using gasoline. When hydrogen burns there is no smoke or poisonous carbon dioxide. Water vapor is all that is emitted. Scientists are currently investigating the extraction of hydrogen from waste. This will help with the worlds land fill problems, but will help us to keep the air cleaner as we drive and operate machinery. Hydrogen fuel cell cars are powered when hydrogen and oxygen are combined. Hydrogen fuel is very promising for the future of man kind and Earth.
